Business, energy groups urge "no" vote on solar mandate

HARRISBURG, PA – Sixteen business and energy associations representing more than half of the private-sector jobs in the Commonwealth sent the following memo to the state House of Representatives today urging a “no” vote on H.B. 2693, which, as amended, would expand the solar mandate under the 2004 Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards Act from .5 percent to 1.5 percent. The bill would triple Pennsylvania’s solar mandate under an accelerated timeframe. ### Founded in 1916, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is the state's largest broad-based business association, with its membership comprising businesses of all sizes and across all industry sectors.
