House panel to hear from PA Chamber on regulatory burdens

Board member among those set to address impact of regulatory process on job creation

PA Chamber Board member Janis Herschkowitz, president of PRL, Inc., will be among those testifying before the House Republican Policy Committee on Pennsylvania’s business regulatory climate. The hearing will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 26 at the state Capitol in Harrisburg.

Herschkowitz will be offering comments to the committee’s Job Creation Policy Development Team, a group of legislators determined to make the Commonwealth a secure environment for job creation and growth.

PA Chamber members applaud the Policy Committee for seeking input from job creators on the impact of the current regulatory process and on potential improvements, believing that Pennsylvania jobs can grow only when open communication exists between businesses and state regulatory agencies.

Explaining “regulatory nightmares” to the committee is one way that the testifiers hope to inform the legislature of the difficulties businesses experience in operating effectively and efficiently when faced with unreasonable, overly burdensome or duplicative regulations.

Herschkowitz’s testimony and a summary of the hearing will be posted on the PA Chamber’s website on Tuesday, April 26.
