PA Chamber pushes economic stimulus on Pennsylvania Newsmakers
Business community urges lawmakers to support targeted tax reductions, legal reform
PA Chamber Vice President Gene Barr and Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association Executive Director Dave Taylor will appear on this weekend's edition of Pennsylvania Newsmakers for a discussion on ways to stimulate business and job growth in the commonwealth.
The unified business community is backing targeted tax reductions as a means of stimulating the economy and fostering long-term economic growth for Pennsylvania. Specifically, the PA Chamber and its allies are advocating for a removal of the cap on Net Operating Losses in order to help cyclical and start-up companies, and for adoption of a Single Sales Factor apportionment formula for the Corporate Net Income tax so that Pennsylvania-based companies are no longer penalized for investing in their operations or hiring.
Barr and Taylor also touch on the benefits of broad-based lawsuit abuse reform.
A video clip of the show will be available on the PA Chamber website in the near future, and will also be available on the Pennsylvania Newsmakers website.
