PA Chamber Investors welcome governor, cabinet officials
'Business leaders and state leaders gather at '08's first Investor event

The attendance of Gov. Ed Rendell and key members of his cabinet highlighted the first PA Chamber Investor event of 2008 - a Gala Reception at the Governor's Residence on Wednesday, June 11.

The event, which gave statewide business leaders a rare and invaluable opportunity to network with administration officials and their peers, was sponsored by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA.

Cabinet officials in attendance included Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Yablonsky, who addressed the group; Budget Secretary Michael Masch, Education Secretary Gerald Zahorchak and Banking Secretary Steven Kaplan.

Numerous other administration officials were also in attendance, along with state Attorney General Tom Corbett.

PA Chamber Board Chairman Kirk Liddell, president and CEO of Irex Corporation, and Teva Pharmaceuticals Director of State Government Affairs Jerry Moore also addressed the large number of Investor members in attendance.

The PA Chamber wishes to thank the governor, members of his administration and PA Chamber Investors for contributing to the success of the networking reception.

The next Investor event will be the Chairman's Reception at the 24th Annual Chamber Dinner on Oct. 6..
